Answer 1
a. Complete the coursework for the Master Teacher in Economics Program successfully (all 7 modules and associated assignments, pre and post test);

b. Once you have successfully completed your course work MCEE will mail you a certificate noting your completion of the MTE program;

c. If you currently have Secondary Social Studies, Business OR Marketing on your teaching license you are eligible to add the 193 Economics Endorsement to your license. Please make a copy of your MTE Certificate and send it to the Mississippi Department of Education along with any other required information. d. If you do not already have the endorsements mentioned above in Step “d” you must, in addition to steps a-c, complete the Economics portion of the Praxis before continuing.

Answer 2

This is an “add on” endorsement that may be earned only by persons who hold a currently valid secondary level educator license in one of the following:

105 Business Education (7-12)

318 Marketing (7-12)

956 Career Pathway: Marketing

192 Social Studies (7-12)

193 Economics (7-12)

A #915 endorsement allows a person to teach the following course:

990003 Entrepreneurship

This endorsement requires the following:

  1. Applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree and currently valid secondary educator license #105, #318, #956, #192, or #193.
  1. Applicant must validate technology competency by attaining the established minimum score or higher on an assessment approved by the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE). The assessment must be directly related to technology competency required by the grade level and subject matter being taught.  Approved assessments for the license are IC3, Propulse, or other specific assessment created by third-party vendors, authorized by the Local Education Agency (LEA) and approved by the MDE.
  1. Applicant must successfully complete a certification for an online learning workshop, module, or course that is approved by the MDE.
  1. Applicant must successfully complete the Master Teacher of Entrepreneurship (MTEnt) certification (see #5).
  1. Complete the coursework for the MTEnt Program successfully (all 5 modules plus assessments), taken Pre and Post Test, turned in 2 original Lesson Plans and a Business Plan to instructor and receive approval;
  1. Once you have completed Step 5, MCEE will mail you a certificate noting your completion of the MTEnt program for your use in applying for the endorsement. To access the Career and Technical Educational Guidelines and Application, please visit http://www.mde.k12.ms.us/OEL/CTEI .

a. There is no cost to the teacher to attend our workshops. For the majority of our workshops, lunch, snacks and materials are also provided at no charge as well. However, there is a fee charged for NO SHOWS and late cancellations for our workshops and for failure to bring teams to the International Economic Summit.

a. Congratulations! Please send a copy of the scholarship award letter you received from MCEE and proof of enrollment at the college you are attending to mscee@millsaps.edu or fax to 601-974-1416. A check for the amount of the scholarship will be sent directly to the school.

a. If you have registered for a workshop then you will immediately receive an automatic confirmation email with your registration details. If you do not have an email, please check your SPAM folder. If not found in SPAM, please contact MCEE to confirm receipt of your registration. A reminder email and any additional details that you need will be sent within one week prior to the workshop date by email.
