The MCEE hosts the Mississippi Economics Challenge each year for high school students. The Challenge applies the excitement of an athletic competition to academic excellence and encourages students to apply their economics knowledge and work in teams. Mississippi teachers have the opportunity to hold a preliminary first round of the Challenge ONLINE. All middle school and high school teachers and students throughout the State are able to participate regardless of travel or budgetary constraints. There are no registration fees and no team limits so this makes a great class activity.
December 2024 Teacher Incentive: High School Teachers can earn $10 for each participating team! Must be actively teaching economics in the classroom within subjects such as Economics, US History, Government, Business or Personal Finance.
